Posted: 28 Jan 2021 08:27 AM PST Taiwan is small but very important for the global hardware industry. They are entangled in a decades long complicated relationship with China where Taiwan says it's independent and China says no it's not, to the point where today China plainly threatned that independence "means war". Ignoring that a military conflict between China and Taiwan might quickly escalate to one between China and US, let's assume it stays local to Taiwan. Is there ANY IT industry impact assessment for what would happen? No more CPUs/GPUs/other chips? For how long? [link] [comments] |
