TLDR: I have a friend that doesn't have a lot of money and deserves a proper gaming PC. I have everything but the GPU. I want to get something that can do VR so he can borrow my HTC Vive for the summer and play it with his kids. Looking for a GTX 980ti or better, hopefully under $250. —— I have a friend that's got two kids. He's always been into PC gaming but has been playing on a laptop with Intel integrated graphics. That's been fine for a while, but now he's getting into more modern games. Recently he's been playing Obduction with his kids, which is an Unreal engine 4 game, and definitely not suited for integrated graphics. Last weekend I came to hang out and brought along my desktop and HTC Vive so they could play Obduction in VR. It blew their minds. They thought the VR was awesome, but they were more blown away that things had texture and detail. Turns out they'd been playing this game on low. It was so slow for them that any time they had to load a new part of the world, they literally took a 5 minute break because it took so long to load. Needless to say, I left knowing that I needed to build them something better. I have enough spare parts to put together a system, but I don't have a GPU. I'm not looking for anything super fancy, just VR capable at the minimum so they can borrow the Vive for the summer. A GTX 980ti or better would be perfect. Trying to stay under $250. I loaned it out to my friend until last week when he was able to get a 30-series card. While I was using it, it sported a EK 1080ti water block and backplate. I still have a copper and a nickel water 1080ti block if you'd like that as well, I'll have to dig them out. The card is "weathered" like that from the factory to resemble a lightsaber, that is not real damage.

I gave it to him a month or so later for his birthday with a promise that we'd keep watch on the market to see if we could score a 30XX card. A few weeks ago I scored a 3060ti on a BestBuy drop and we built the PC that weekend. We used this card, the ASUS TUF GTX 1650, for about a week before the new card showed up. The card is practically new (less than 10 hours of use) and in perfect condition with all original packaging. I paid $211 for this (including tax and shipping) and would like to recover that amount. I will meet in a local public area. If there are multiple people interested, I'll go in order of response and convenience for the exchange. I don't want to ship at this time.
