RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio BIOS Flash Posted: 02 Dec 2020 07:21 AM PST Looking at the MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 3080, it seems like a great card to BIOS flash with its three 8 pins, and the 3080 Suprim looks like a perfect candidate since its MSI and has the same HDMI/Displayport layout and higher power limit. That said the Gaming X Trio uses a reference VRM design, and so I want to get some feedback on a few things before flashing long term. 1. Has anyone done this on the 3080 and ran it daily for a while? 2. How much wattage would you be comfortable pushing into the Gaming X Trio considering its weaker VRM design. (I'm thinking 400W or less personally so the VRM doesn't get too hot.) Thanks. [link] [comments] |
