What memory configuration do people expect big Navi to have exactly? Posted: 08 Sep 2020 09:25 PM PDT I've been thinking about this recently and am not sure how AMD expects to make Big Navi competitive without HBM2, which would probably make it hard to compete with the 3080 in price. GDDR6X appears to be another Nvidia exclusive like GDDR5X was. A 512 bit memory bus is an option, but even if they manage some large perf/watt gains over RDNA1, I still dont think they're going to have the power budget to take that route. Anyone have any thoughts on how AMD might approach RDNA2 bandwidth needs? [link] [comments] |

Should MS also sell the Series S APU in a NUC? Posted: 08 Sep 2020 05:21 PM PDT I can't be the only one who thinks having such a config would make for a very nice tiny PC. Freedom of x86 ecosystem (as free as u can be with Windows) and real PC experience vs consoles. Or is the NUC market too niche? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 08 Sep 2020 10:42 PM PDT I'm confused. On Asus's site they show the same dimension for the strix 3080 and the 3090. Clearly the FE version of the 3090 is a monster compared to the 3080. Is it actually possible the Strix versions are the same dimensions [link] [comments] |
