Hardware support: Opinion: GPU prices will never get back to normal |
Opinion: GPU prices will never get back to normal Posted: 10 Oct 2021 02:50 AM PDT One far away day, there will be sufficient supply and less annoying crypto miners ramping up the prices. But I personally think that GPU prices will never be the same ever again. What Nvidia and AMD learned so far is that people are willing to buy flagship GPUs for mor than 2000€ and entry or midrange GPUs for more than 600€. Why should they sell future GPUs for less? I'm afraid that the 40XX and 7XXX series will have asking prices similar to what consumers paid for the current generation of GPUs. Anything I haven't seen? Different opinions?
