Let’s say I’m Googling “best ITX motherboards for ryzen 5800x” which sites would you trust? Is keeping my old gpu as a secondary gpu useful ? Posted: 02 Sep 2021 09:32 AM PDT Hello everyone, I decided to pay 150$ over MSRP to get a new RX 6600XT to upgrade my old RX 590 and I was wondering if keeping the RX 590 as a second graphic card is useful or not. I have a Ryzen 5600X, B550 gaming plus, and 16 gb RAM. I play on a 144Hz / 1080p monitor and have a second one 60Hz / 1080p. [link] [comments]
Why doesn't Microcenter expand out of the US? Posted: 01 Sep 2021 07:31 PM PDT I always see posts about people buying GPU's at MSRP at a microcenter store, sponsored YouTubers giving out wireless headphones at any microcenter location, and Canadian me always wondering why they don't expand out of the US, at least in North America. Is there a specific reason for this? [link] [comments]

NEED a temporary GPU while waiting for market to calm down Posted: 02 Sep 2021 12:03 PM PDT Hey fellas I currently got a Intel i3 8100 with 16GB 3200 MHz ram. But I don't have a video card. I play Apex and Minecraft plus a tad Valorant. I can buy a GT 1030 gddr5 for about a 100$. Should I do it while I wait for a better GPU. I will also upgrade to 9700k or something soon. Posted: 02 Sep 2021 11:34 AM PDT Hello, I'm upgrading my pc with newer parts. The only thing I am keeping right now is the graphics card which is a 1080. - not sure what power supply would be suitable - is it worth getting extra fans as the fractal torrent already has 5? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
How does the second gpu slot work?? Posted: 02 Sep 2021 12:29 PM PDT I'm thinking of getting a gpu once the prices are somewhat normal, I know they won't be in a long time. But let's say I get a gpu, I have one already in my pc and was wondering how does the second slot work? Is it like having the combined power of both gpus or am I getting something wrong? Any answer is appreciated [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Sep 2021 09:55 AM PDT I recently got a EVGA 850 GA 850w 80 plus gold power supply to accommodate for Geforce RTX 3060Ti, I thought I would just be able to install it and fire it up but instead nothing even happened. I plugged everything in, used the testing method and even tested my old power supply, EVGA 650 BQ bronze and that worked fine! Can someone please help me identify the problem? Got the "I want to take apart my PC" bug, what would you change? Posted: 02 Sep 2021 01:31 PM PDT Running some older parts which are more than capable of performing the tasks required but sometimes you just get the urge to build or upgrade your PC. Was wondering if you had my current build, what would be your first change?

Is this great for 1080p games at highest settings? Posted: 02 Sep 2021 02:17 PM PDT
Posted: 02 Sep 2021 11:20 AM PDT This might be a dumb post but I started building my first PC last September and had all the parts except for the GPU. I'm trying to make a 1440p build. After spending what felt like an eternity searching for a non-scapled graphics card, I finally found a RTX 3060 yesterday for $425 at microcenter by a stroke of dumb luck and jumped immediately on it. Now I'm looking at people's reviews online and mention how mediocre the 3060 is. Should I really jump back in the search craze and look for at least a 3060 ti? if not, can someone reassure me and tell me I did good thing and I'm going to enjoy it? PC crashes after updating to latest bios for x570 tomahawk (non-beta) Posted: 02 Sep 2021 01:44 PM PDT Repost, I tried to run a few troubleshooting but did not resolve. Hi, I don't know if this the correct place to ask, but I happened to side-grade my CPU from a 3700x to a 5800x. I had to update the BIOS to run ZEN 3, but after the whole process was done I've experienced crashes practically daily. I thought it was from overheating issues, so I ran GL aquarium for 20 minutes, then MSI Kombuster for the CPU for 10 minutes, finally MSI Kombuster on the GPU for 10 minutes. No crashes. I load up Hades and get a crash after 5 minutes. Ran sfc /scannow on Command Prompt and found no corrupted files. Deleted and reinstalled CoD Cold War since that one almost immediately crashes and restarts the computer, and Voila, immediate restart occurs after a BSOD. I don't know what is causing this. Casual use of class work or streaming doesn't cause any issues, but now it seems to happen randomly even on casual uses. I believe that my Operating System could be corrupted but I'm not sure. Any suggestions. MY BUILD https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hC9x8J [link] [comments]
What specs i need for play wow and lol at 1080p 144hz? Posted: 02 Sep 2021 01:27 PM PDT Hi, ill buy a new pc and ill play only wow (medium-high settings, i dont need ultra) and lol (same, but i think this game at ultra needs less specs than wow in medium) to play at 144hz in 1080p screen. Posted: 02 Sep 2021 07:19 AM PDT I like clean setups but i don't see the point of a monitor mount unless i don't see that either. Example of what i want: [link] [comments]
Best 1tb storage option for games? Posted: 02 Sep 2021 05:58 AM PDT I'm looking to upgrade from a hard disk drive but I am not sure what storage brand or option would be the best. I want faster load times on my games but just in general faster read and write speeds. [link] [comments]
Am I missing something I need for this build to work? Posted: 02 Sep 2021 04:57 AM PDT I don't necessarily need a beefy PC, just enough to play afew games like valorant and such, at the moment I have the ASRock desk mini x300, AMD Ryzen 5 5600x processer and the corsair vengeance LPX 16gb. This will be my first pc do I'm relatively clueless on the specifics of what I need [link] [comments]
6700 XT vs 6800 vs 6800 XT? Which one fits the current build better? Posted: 02 Sep 2021 10:00 AM PDT I'm going to bite the bullet and call it quits to my 3080/3060 search since it's been damn near impossible to find one that's not at a crazy inflated price. These are the three choices I'm currently mulling over. Can anyone provide any feedback on which would fit better with this build? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/L8wBXb Monitor: https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/gaming/49--odyssey-g9-gaming-monitor-lc49g95tssnxza/ [link] [comments]
Looking for dust filters, any pointers? Posted: 02 Sep 2021 11:09 AM PDT See title. I am looking for something to cover my two 140mm intake fans. Dust is becoming a problem. Should I get more of a fine mesh, or would that restrict airfllow too much, especially once dust starts accumulating? Or should I get a less fine mesh to allow for better airflow, but possibly at the cost of effectiveness? Are there any good brands to look out for? Should I put the filters right up against the fans, or on the open area of my front panel? (I have a case w/ a very oddly-shaped mesh area on the front for intake (case is the AZZA Inferno, I think you see what I mean), cutting to size might be necessary if I put it there. No oddities about the area right by the fans tho) Should I get magnetic filters, or filters that need to be screwed or clipped on in some way? Any pointers would be appreciated. edit: I've found this, would that be good? edit2: How about this? [link] [comments]

What combo of parts between these two PCs would you choose? Posted: 02 Sep 2021 02:33 PM PDT Long story short, I bought a used gaming PC for the Case, since it was cheaper to buy the whole thing than buy the case new. So now I have a bunch of extra parts and I want to cherry-pick the best combo and give the 2nd PC to a friend who can't afford a gaming computer so we can some games play together. What Combination would you pick if it were you? Current PC: Motherboard: ASUS Z97-Deluxe/USB 3.1 CPU: I7-4790K w/ Hyper 212 cooler Ram: 32GB PSU Cooler Master 700W GPU: EVGA 1080 Ti FTW 3 Donor PC: Motherboard: MSI Z97-G55 CPU: I5-4690 w/ Intel AIO cooler Ram: 16GB PSU Corsair 850W GPU: EVGA GTX 970 Should I leave my current cooler on or transplant the AIO? I am not overclocking, but I am streaming, gaming, and video editing. [link] [comments] |
