- I’ve been a gamer for many years but have never set aside money to build a new pc. Well today that’s finally changed and I’d like to start this journey.
- NEED a temporary GPU while waiting for market to calm down

I play Apex and Minecraft plus a tad Valorant. I can buy a GT 1030 gddr5 for about a 100$. Should I do it while I wait for a better GPU. I will also upgrade to 9700k or something soon. | Posted: 02 Sep 2021 09:55 AM PDT I recently got a EVGA 850 GA 850w 80 plus gold power supply to accommodate for Geforce RTX 3060Ti, I thought I would just be able to install it and fire it up but instead nothing even happened. I plugged everything in, used the testing method and even tested my old power supply, EVGA 650 BQ bronze and that worked fine! Can someone please help me identify the problem? After spending what felt like an eternity searching for a non-scapled graphics card, I finally found a RTX 3060 yesterday for $425 at microcenter by a stroke of dumb luck and jumped immediately on it. Now I'm looking at people's reviews online and mention how mediocre the 3060 is. Should I really jump back in the search craze and look for at least a 3060 ti? if not, can someone reassure me and tell me I did good thing and I'm going to enjoy it? | PC crashes after updating to latest bios for x570 tomahawk (non-beta) Posted: 02 Sep 2021 01:44 PM PDT Repost, I tried to run a few troubleshooting but did not resolve. Hi, I don't know if this the correct place to ask, but I happened to side-grade my CPU from a 3700x to a 5800x. I had to update the BIOS to run ZEN 3, but after the whole process was done I've experienced crashes practically daily. I thought it was from overheating issues, so I ran GL aquarium for 20 minutes, then MSI Kombuster for the CPU for 10 minutes, finally MSI Kombuster on the GPU for 10 minutes. No crashes. I load up Hades and get a crash after 5 minutes. Ran sfc /scannow on Command Prompt and found no corrupted files. Deleted and reinstalled CoD Cold War since that one almost immediately crashes and restarts the computer, and Voila, immediate restart occurs after a BSOD. I don't know what is causing this. Casual use of class work or streaming doesn't cause any issues, but now it seems to happen randomly even on casual uses. I believe that my Operating System could be corrupted but I'm not sure. | Looking for dust filters, any pointers? Posted: 02 Sep 2021 11:09 AM PDT See title. I am looking for something to cover my two 140mm intake fans. Dust is becoming a problem. Should I get more of a fine mesh, or would that restrict airfllow too much, especially once dust starts accumulating? Or should I get a less fine mesh to allow for better airflow, but possibly at the cost of effectiveness? Are there any good brands to look out for? Should I put the filters right up against the fans, or on the open area of my front panel? (I have a case w/ a very oddly-shaped mesh area on the front for intake (case is the AZZA Inferno, I think you see what I mean), cutting to size might be necessary if I put it there. No oddities about the area right by the fans tho) Should I get magnetic filters, or filters that need to be screwed or clipped on in some way? So now I have a bunch of extra parts and I want to cherry-pick the best combo and give the 2nd PC to a friend who can't afford a gaming computer so we can some games play together. What Combination would you pick if it were you?
