Lists of hardware specifications - what are some useful lists to make? Posted: 31 Jul 2021 10:09 AM PDT If we want to find some information about hardware, we may find it on the Internet (Google search). We can find some on dedicated websites like Ark Intel (ark.intel.com) or Wikichip (en.wikichip.org). For benchmarks, we have Passmark with dedicated websites for CPU and for GPU benchmarks. The question is: What useful information is hard to find in one place and worth making a list from it? Or, better said: Do you know other useful links? What info can be useful but a list for it does not exist? [link] [comments] |
How to compare CPU performances? Posted: 01 Aug 2021 01:26 AM PDT What indicators matter when comparing CPU performances? Especially those from different families and ISAs. I know that clock speed, FLOP, core number, power consumption and cache size are good indicators, but with the rise of different application scenarios beyond laptop and PC, it adds to the complexity. I've been trying to compare the processors designed in China and other countries with those from Intel and AMD [link] [comments] |

If the average personal computer/smartphone all suddenly had 128GB RAM Posted: 31 Jul 2021 11:55 AM PDT What would do you think they all be used for? Let's also add in they have 1TB of storage. What change would you expect to happen? [link] [comments] |
