Steam Deck to feature Quad Channel LPDDR5 5500MT/s memory in updated specifications Posted: 19 Jul 2021 01:30 PM PDT Valve has updated the tech specification page for Steam Deck. The old version
The updated version
This confirms that Steam Deck has higher memory bandwidth than any LPDDR4 or DDR4 devices on the market (around 70% higher than a dual channel DDR4 3200 MT/s system) and will probably not face any bandwidth bottleneck on the GPU part [link] [comments] |

Nvidia FE 30 cards have transitioned to in store only at Best Buy. Posted: 19 Jul 2021 03:49 PM PDT Like the title says. Tomorrow will be their first store only release, one per customer. This is good news as it will likely stave off scalpers. Hopefully third party cards follow in this example. [link] [comments] |

Nvidia DLSS SDK 2.2.1 is meant to be integrated directly into custom/proprietary engines Posted: 19 Jul 2021 11:56 AM PDT https://developer.nvidia.com/dlss-getting-started
I think this is huge news in terms of getting DLSS widely adopted by developers. [link] [comments] |

100W USB on the motherboard possible? Posted: 19 Jul 2021 12:57 PM PDT I wonder if there is any way to have a high-wattage USB directly from the motherboard, and if its possible why haven't we seen such motherboards yet, and if its not possible, why? The only way I am thinking it cant be done is because of the power supply (750W and so), if thats the case, wouldn't high wattage powersupplies solve this? [link] [comments] |
