[Important] Reddit Spam Filter Issue (again)

    Hello all,

This is yet another PSA on reddit spam filter acting up.

As we announced before, reddit allows subreddits to choose their own spam filter strength from Off / Low / High, and in order to prevent spam (and indeed it is the default setting), /r/hardware's filter on link / text posts and comments are set to "High".

Previously, post caught by the filter looks like this, and it will go straight to mod queue for review by a moderator. These posts are NOT removed by us, its caught by the reddit spam filter.

However, apparently this has changed over the course of last month in order to combat site-wide spammers, and these posts will now no longer show up in the mod queue, but instead in the spam queue, which is a total mess to work with and includes all the already-dealt-with posts/comments in it, making it basically impossible to go through.

You can refer to the specific comment (and the post) by the reddit admins here.

Moving forward, posts removed by our spam filter will be automatically moved to the spam listing, rather than your main mod queue. This means that future incidents will not clog up your modqueue.

Unfortunately, the reddit spam filter is far from perfect, and thus this also introduced a new problem of some legitimate posts going straight to the spam filter without ever being able to be reviewed by us in the mod queue. Therefore, if you have a post that is not visible but you think its a legitimate post, please contact us through modmail and we'll sort it out for you if we also think its a mistake.

TL;DR: Reddit spam filter is acting up again, and its not sending filter-ed post to mod queue. If you think your post is caught mistakenly, modmail us for follow-up.

Is Dell Latitude E5470 panel compatible with Latitude 5480?

    Posted: 28 Jul 2021 02:12 AM PDT

I bought a secondhand Latitude 5480, and due to some misunderstanding, instead of full HD IPS panel, it arrived with 768p. The price was so good that even with this bad screen, it is still a good deal so I decided to keep it and eventually upgrade the display.

I browsed local classifieds and stumbled upon a Dell E5470 selling in parts. Seller asks 50€ for complete a screen assembly, which sounds like a good deal. So instead of ordering a display of questionable quality from who knows where, I could get a genuine Dell display for half the price.

But, how do I know if it is compatible with my laptop? Can someone please help me?

    Thank you!!!
