USB trough DisplayPort can slowdown the monitor responsiveness? Posted: 22 Mar 2021 10:26 AM PDT Hey guys I have a 144hz 1080p IPS monitor with wide array of ports on the back. Im connecting my PC trough diplayport also Im using it for connecting my speakers my mice and my keyboard. A friend of mine started an interesting argument which I think I was right about but I want to ask you what do you think about it? Here it is: He said that so many things hooked up to the monitor will slow the 1ms response time and it will interfere the signals. I disagreed because the max data rate for a 1.2 DP is 17 Gbit/s and at 144hz 1080p requires 8 Gbit/s which leaves us at a hefty amount of data rate for information travel. What do you think? Can future SSDs beat hard drives in capacity? Posted: 22 Mar 2021 02:15 PM PDT I just watched this video on Engadet's Upscaled which says that we will have 60TB hard drives soon. Which made me wonder if SSDs will ever beat hard drive capacities and durability? Or will they hit a thermal wall or something? [link] [comments] |
