AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Meta Review: 15 reviews & 4240 benchmarks compiled Posted: 25 Mar 2021 09:49 PM PDT - compilation of 15 launch reviews with ~4240 gaming benchmarks at all resolutions
- only benchmarks under real games compiled, not included any 3DMark & Unigine benchmarks
- geometric mean in all cases
- stock performance on reference/FE boards, no overclocking
- SAM & rBAR sometimes enabled, sometimes not - right now we are in the middle of this adaption
- standard performance without RayTracing, extra RayTracing benchmarks at WQHD resolution
- performance average is (moderate) weighted in favor of reviews with more benchmarks

Modded RX 6700XT Thermal Pad Testing Posted: 25 Mar 2021 06:26 PM PDT https://i.redd.it/p04ltj8ar9p61.png Reposting here from my OC in r/AMD since crossposting is not allowed. I was able to snag a reference 6700XT at launch at a Microcenter. While I was thrilled to get a card at the actual MSRP, I wasn't too thrilled with the thermal performance of the reference cooler - especially for the VRAM and VRM. I took off the backplate and added 2mm thermal pads between the backplate and the back of the PCB where the GDDR6 and VRM components are. Very pleased with the results! 7-8 C drops for the VRAM and VRM components as reported by HWInfo during a 12 minute Furmark stress test. submitted by /u/treesofvalinor [link] [comments] |

Any idea as to when we'll be getting X86 SBCs that have a small form factor, are inexpensive, but will be more powerful than the Z8350? Posted: 25 Mar 2021 12:07 PM PDT I'm really impressed with the Rock Pi X SBC for the simple fact that I think it's great for the price and size, as I actually want a X86 SBC that is less than $80 and is about the same size as the Raspberry Pi 4 (if not smaller). The Rock Pi X has shown that it certainly meets this criteria. However, I can't help but wonder if something will be getting released soon that will be similarly priced, will have a small form factor, but will be a LOT more powerful. Because as it stands, the Z8350 chip is getting on a bit. Any idea as to when we'll be getting something more powerful? submitted by /u/prankster999 [link] [comments] |
