Micron X100 SSD doesn't seem to exist Posted: 24 Sep 2020 12:58 PM PDT I see a lot of articles talking about a 'Micron X100 SSD' that sits in a PCIe slot and reads/writes at 9GB/s with very low latency... however when I actually try to buy it, it's not for sale anywhere. Does this product actually exist? [link] [comments] |

The RTX 3090 is a workstation card, but for who? Posted: 24 Sep 2020 05:07 PM PDT I understand that NVIDIA explicitly targeted content creators with some of the marketing, but I've heard conflicting anecdotes about its professional usefulness. Specifically: 1) What is it that we should expect out of a more AI focused workstation card? 2) Why is SpecViewPerf such a let down? Bad FP64 compute? Drivers? 3) Where in the world are the benchmarks/analysis to help answer these questions? From my perspective, all these professional use cases just fall into data-type buckets (FP16, FP32, INTXX, etc) so where is this card coming up short? Relevant Links: [link] [comments] |
