UserBenchmark has been banned from /r/hardware Posted: 16 Apr 2020 08:50 PM PDT Having discussed the issue of UserBenchmark amongst our moderation team, we have decided to ban UserBenchmark from /r/hardware The reason? Between calling their critics "an army of shills" and picking fights with prominent reviewers, posts involving UserBenchmark aren't producing any discussions of value. They're just generating drama. This thread will be the last thread in which discussion of UB will be allowed. Posts linking to, or discussing UserBenchmark, will be removed in the future. Thank you for your understanding. Posted: 16 Apr 2020 12:17 PM PDT about a month ago i bought a logitech mouse at a walmart. it wasn't the mouse i wanted, but i settled for it anyway. after i left, i remembered there was a best buy nearby, so i got online and found the mouse i wanted, ordered it and got it with curbside pickup (it's a G604 btw, and i love it). i came back to walmart to return the mouse i got, so they told me to go back to electronics counter so the guy there could inspect it first. he opens the box to look at the serial numbers, and the serial number on the mouse didn't match the one on the box so it couldn't be returned, and this box was sealed with a tamper proof sticker on the flap where you open the box, this thing was proper factory sealed. the rest of the story isn't important, but the manager cleared the return and said she'd seen this happen a lot in the past. apparently logitech has a bit of a reputation for doing this. i also looked it up online and had found a bunch of stories from people who had experienced the same thing- they bought a logitech product, and when the serial number became relevant to their life, they found that the number on the hardware didn't match the number on the packaging. Why do the Series X and PS5 both use AMD for their CPU's and GPU's? Posted: 16 Apr 2020 10:18 AM PDT Both consoles will have RDNA 2 GPU's and Zen 2 based CPU's. What are the reasons why they chose AMD over an Nvidia GPU or an Intel CPU? [link] [comments] |
