Multi Monitor Office work Market being forgotten about??? Cheap DP/HDMI only 3+ GPU Posted: 19 Apr 2020 05:44 PM PDT Back in the day I remember there were the Cirrus Logic, matrox and maybe few other video cards that had all the same resolutions of the ATI , Voodoo and Nvidia. Now you spend 70$ dollars and get essentially same connection most INTEL mobos handle (1 and 1 sometime 3 connections with 1dvi and mix of hdmi / dp) and basically almost no AMD non value bargain basement CPU have iGPU.... leaving have to buy basically 150$ to run 3 or more monitors with just DP and/or HDMI more with alot of unused be it maybe lowend but still "gaming power" . At work we end up buying Lowend but overpriced Quadro just to run multiple HDMI monitors on the work stations. Seeing that Display port is royalty free, is there really no market for standard maybe up to 4k desktop/video playback even passive cooled as not real "3d acceleration" [link] [comments] |
