I never use my laptop, question about battery storage

    Posted: 13 Nov 2019 12:58 AM PST

Hey all, I have an xps 15 but I rarely use it, I've been storing it in my backpack in a zip cover for almost 6 months now with the battery still inside of it, it just dawned to me this could be potentially hazardous/bad for the lifespan of the battery. My question regards around storage of the battery and whether I should just pull it from the laptop if I'm not planning on using it/use it sparingly, thank you in advance!

The statement in the title of this post is not mine, I've seen it in this website https://freehardware.org

Which has been on "coming soon" for some time now. I wonder what is it about. Anyone has any clue?
