The future of power delivery is finally here Posted: 21 Feb 2022 08:07 AM PST Well, Sort of :P. Silverstone is releasing FX600 Platinum (FlexATX PSU). Based on the Enhance ENP 7660B (top dog SFF, together with Extreme Cat Electronics MF700F. Finally a big company release for a FlexPSU, which is gonna go a long way towards pushing other companies to consider entering the market. Silverstone got in ~3 years before everyone else, for the SFX, SFX-L previously. But with many new startups, crowdfunded, incubator, etc, ... popping up in Europe lately like Densium and Smol and Thor Zone, on top of 5-6 old US and EU based SFF progenitors, it's probably not gonna take 3 years this time. The efficiency of the platform is off the charts, so unexpectedly with a Noctua fan swap, all the 3 top Flex PSUs are very close to ambient noise at ~@300w usage (~2000RPM on a 40x20MM fan). How Does Inter-Reticle Stitching Work? Posted: 20 Feb 2022 12:57 PM PST With high end chips starting to reach the reticle limit for current steppers, and with High NA EUV halving the reticle limit, it seems like reticle limit is becoming a bigger issue for VLSI chip manufacturing and design. Chips like Cerberus chips are wafer scale, so obviously inter-reticle stitching is possible. How is inter-reticle stitching carried out for those chips, and why isn't the tech/will the tech be brought down to professional and consumer product? [link] [comments] | ||
