Why aren't there more compile-based benchmarks done?

    Posted: 18 Dec 2021 09:22 AM PST

It seems like code compiling is entirely CPU-based and loves to have as many cores as it can get. Plus, many Linux distro updaters use compiling for at least part of their upgrade process. With these factors in mind, why don't more review sites do compile benchmarks?
