PS: Normal AiB delivery quantities (pre-crisis) are (somewhere in the direction of) 3-3.5 million units for AMD and 8 million units for nVidia per quarter.

    Notes:
All market share figures refer to market share by unit. The interpolated figures (marked with "~") may not be completely correct, as often only rounded figures were available as source material. Market value and ASP refer to end-user prices - i.e., do not represent revenue for AMD & nVidia.

    Important
It need to be noted that both JPR reports presumably contain an error in the reference figures when it comes to the respective year-on-year comparison: The values from the second quarter of 2020 were consistently given, while figures for the actually required third quarter of 2020 (as the correct year-on-year period) are missing. This does not seem to be a pure error in the table labeling, as the values quoted consistently correspond to the previously known figures for the second quarter of 2020. What does not fit, however, are the statements in the accompanying text: The AiB growth of +25.7% (allegedly) from Q3'20 to Q3'21 mentioned there corresponds to the period from Q2'20 to Q3'21 according to the available figures. A subsequent number correction to this far back quarter also seems unlikely, the necessary difference is after all around 1.4 million AiB graphics chips (roughly 12% of the AiB market volume).

The most likely resolution is that the tables are completely correct, thus actually contain values from the second quarter of 2020 - and therefore the year-on-year comparison in the accompanying text was erroneously started with the wrong reference figure. Unfortunately, JPR has so far not corrected the tables or the text, although even in the simplest possible case at least the table label clearly does not refer to the correct period. This is critical, as the report with the +25.7% more AiB graphic chips was widely passed around - in real terms, however, the annual comparison (presumably) results in only +10.4% growth. Of course, my interpretation of things cannot be completely certain either - this clarification can ultimately only be provided by JPR.
