    Hello fellow /u/hardwareswap members.

    The sub has been growing at a pretty steady pace. At the same time we have a few mods stepping down.

    We're looking for a few select individuals to come on as Moderators to help keep this place running functionally and keep it safe for the community.

    Please keep in mind moderating this subreddit requires significantly more work than other subreddits 10x or even 20x the size and is a thankless time sink.

    What we need from you as a moderator:

    You should first and foremost be able to put in the time several times a week to moderation activities. Being active is required. If you can't remain active please refrain from applying.

    Going through new posts / reports for infractions for removal (example: invalid timestamps, shitposting)

    Replying/managing modmail (this is a task you'll grow into as you learn the ropes)

    Lastly, the mod team here uses Discord as our primary means of communication. You're not required to be active in the Hardwareswap Discord but you are required to be active on Discord in general so we can reach you as needed. The moderation team of hardwareswap is a close-knit group, we support each other and we work together. Being active on the discord or at least discord in general is a necessity.

    So what do you get in return? An imaginary E-Peen boost and the satisfaction of knowing you're contributing to a fantastic community.

    If you're a regular and post/comment more often you probably have a higher chance of being accepted as a mod. Having hundreds of trades is not a requirement, some of our best mods have only had a few dozen. We're really looking for steady consistent mod activity from our new mods.

    Let us know (HERE, as a comment response) what you like about the sub/what you dislike, where you see yourself in 5 years, etc... Just a little about yourself and what this sub means to you/how you'd make it better.

    It breaks my heart to sell, but I was laid off unexpectedly and need to cover living expenses until I start getting paid from my new job.

    Approximate retail cost of this PC in current market is $5,200, selling for just $4,400 shipped and insured, or you can pick it up locally for $4,200.

    It was built a couple months ago and is in great condition. Every RGB light in the case is able to be synced with ASUS' Armoury Crate, which will come preinstalled (after being sold it will be factory reset, then I'll reinstall drivers and hardware management tools).

    1) Nintendo Switch v2 32GB & Sony 64GB SD Card - $230 SHIPPED

    Full package. The V2 switch, original joycons for unit, dock, HDMI/power cable (for dock, also can just be a charger), the little things that go on joycons, and the controller that allows joycons to mount in. Condition is 4/5. Screen is free of scratches and body is good but the joycon mount holder controller has some scratches. The joycons have some wear on them but no drift from what I've played with lately. This switch isn't used much anymore because it was my wife's and we now just use the same switch for everything. It's on the latest firmware (13.0.0).

    SD card is a Sony 64GB Micro SD XC 70MB/s card.

    Comes with original box.

    2) Oculus Rift S - $160

    Bought 1yr ago but now just acquired a Quest 2 so selling this as I no longer need it. In great condition with no issues on any item. Tried to disinfect the headset/controllers well but what with the foam padding it can be difficult. Comes with a table tennis paddle adapter at no cost (no reason to need it anymore).

    Has a crack down the middle of the headset that has not affect any operation

    One controller has a very slight white blemish on one of the ring things, once again, does not seem to affect anything.

    Comes with the original box.

    3) Combo Deal: Amazon Fire Cube (2019), Echo Dot 4th Gen, Echo Dot 3rd Gen - $110 SHIPPED combo

    These aren't really worth selling alone due to shipping so selling them all together. The 3rd gen unit was opened but never actually set up so it just had a tiny bit of dust on it (cleaned), but otherwise completely unused. 4th gen I opened to test functionality, also never used basically. The Fire Cube was my daily driver on my TV for a bit but moved on to just using a PC for that with a keyboard.

    All units have their original power cables (The Fire Cube does NOT include an HDMI cable, not sure if that came with it?), and the Fire Cube has its remote, ethernet adapter and the IR extender cable. They all come with their original box.

    These will all ship together, if you've been looking for a sign to go "smart" in your home, this could be it!
