    Hello everyone,
    I've got a very limited item for sale*, but due to the spamming that usually follows, I have a few ground rules.

    3. Please don't question the value of this product. It's a Limited Edition.
    4. I am only asking what I paid for it, because I'm not trying to make money on it, I just want to help someone in the US get a hold of one.

    Up for sale*, I've got a Limited Edition ASUS Strix RTX 3080 Gundam Edition. This product originally had an MSRP of ￥155924, or ￥171516 after taxes. However, in Japan, the MSRP of computer parts varies widely because every PC part goes through a third-party distributor. Because of the extremely high demand in April/May, distributors raised the price of all their RTX 3080 cards, including this limited edition one. Sadly, I think no one will get their order fulfilled from the Amazon JP pre-order that went live two months ago. The price that this particular sample cost, was ￥203800 on 5/31/2021 at a Japanese PC hardware shop called PC Koubou. This price converts to $1850.53 in USD. Since Japan has a country wide 10% sales tax, this means the "adjusted" vendor price in May was $1682.31.

    The product is never used, but the box is open. I needed to open it because I didn't buy it directly from the store. I had to verify its condition so I could give the seller positive feedback on the marketplace application I used to buy it. I will send a video of me opening the box, to the person who ends up being picked to buy it, so you can see that it was sealed when I received it.

    I am asking for $1850 because I don't like coins, and I don't round up because I'm an engineer. Because I am selling this to you for 53 cents less than I paid, it's not really a "sale" per say, but rather me just carrying a $2000 video card in my luggage for you when I come to the United States in two weeks.
    If you feel uncomfortable with it, just think about it this way: I'm coming to the US to visit my family after a long time not seeing them. You're technically helping me do a currency exchange but saving me the exchange fee that even banks charge. :)

    In terms of trades: I really really really wanted an RTX 3080 Founders Edition, but to be honest, I wouldn't feel comfortable asking for the MSRP difference because we all know the 3080 isn't really a $700 plus tax GPU. There's no other 3080 on the planet that has the same retail price, so I'll just wait until the stock for a 3080 is high enough and buy it later. I was lucky to get a PS5 for MSRP anyway, so I can just console game for now. I would rather prioritize someone with no GPU who really really likes Gundam, really really wants this GPU and had the same awful luck with Best Buy drops that I did.
    If you do have a GPU, but really wanted this Gundam 3080 (I can definitely understand someone who ended up with a Zotac 3080 but really wanted this for a white build), there's still a way you can get this GPU, but you can't keep both. If I pick you, I'd want you to sell your GPU for exactly what it costs if it were in stock now, or what you paid for it, whichever is LOWEST.

    Now, the going price for this on Ebay is $2600 or $2700. Because there's a potential for a buyer to make $800 flipping this, I need to set some requirements.

    1. This is (at the moment), local cash only, at or near LAX on July 1st in the evening. Depending on circumstances, I can also accept pick up later if you can drive out to me (92243). We will be meeting at a safe public place. If you'd like, we can find a way to verify the GPU.
    2. I will only sell to those with reputable trading or significant Reddit comment/post history that if they agree not to scalp but scalp anyway, there's at least a level of public shaming that they'd be sacrificing an aged and actively used account for.
    3. Anyone who has more than 20 trades, but I can't verify their trades because they deleted them or scrubbed their Reddit history will not be able to purchase this.
    4. Priority will go to Gundam fans who have an immediate need for a GPU. How you prove this to me is up to you.
    5. I will not sell to someone for more than this amount, to be shipped. Please don't PM me "$2400 if you ship it". I am very fortunate this last 18 months. I have an amazing job that lets me work from home, my daughter is healthy and taken care of, I can provide for my family. I'm not doing this for the money or I would just go to Ebay. If I don't find a local buyer that I trust, I will change to shipping. If you'd like to be "in the queue", please follow the same comment rule, but in your title, include "Gundam 3080 Shipped Queue".

    Thermaltake Tower 100 in white for $50 (MSRP $110)

    Very easy to build in, very much a statement piece type of case.

    • pros:
      • Comes with 2x pre-installed 120mm fans.
      • Compatible with even the beefiest of graphics cards (I had a 1080 Ti w/ a Raijintek Morpheus cooler w/ slim fans which works out to about 3.5 slots and had a few millimeters to spare).
      • Also compatible with the tallest of air coolers.
      • Airflow was surprisingly good with the right fan config.
      • Supports full size PSUs
    • cons:
      • Large for mini ITX. (20+ L)
      • Need to remove the top (5 screws) to remove any side panels.
      • Can't fit any radiators larger than a single 120mm or 140mm

    Geeek A40 w/ PCIe 3.0 riser for $35 (MSRP $60 + $25) on hold for /u/wquach

    For anyone who has ordered from these folks before, the case comes un-assembled. Obviously, I already assembled this one. In the photo there is still an ASUS B450i w/ a Ryzen 5 2600, a Big Shuriken 3, and a slim ARGB Silverstone fan on it. I could be convinced to part with those if you want to buy it with the case for an extra $220.

    • pros:
      • Fully Modular, very easy to replace parts, easy to build in if you follow their instructions.

    This tiny little thing can definitely be packed with some power. I won't split this case and the PSU, they come together. In the photos, this case has a Gigabyte Z270i w/ an i7 7700k & some Alpenfohn black ridge knockoff by Scythe that I could be convinced to part with for an extra $200. Edit: This is the PSU

    • pros:
      • Tiny, only 4.7L
      • Surprisingly very easy to work in. The PSU cables have been bent perfectly into shape so assembly can be accomplished by a competent builder in under 45 minutes.
    • cons:
      • PSU has a 40mm fan on it. It's fine with headphones on but you'll hear it in a quiet room.
      • only 48mm of CPU cooler height. You'll need to undervolt anything over 65W to keep temperatures comfortable.
      • 2 slot GPU up to 183mm long (ITX variants only)

    Hi everyone.

    EVGA RTX 2070 XC Ultra Overclocked - $675 shipped, $625 local

    I finally managed to secure a 3080 for myself, leaving my 2070 without a home.

    I'd like to sell locally if possible to avoid shipping, but I will ship at buyers expense.

    I had just pulled the card out yesterday after buying it in the early fall of last year on this sub.

    When I bought it from the previous owner, 8 months ago. it had the same small bends on the support bracket, these have been bent back to as close to straight as I could get them with some pliers. It does not effect performance of the card, nor has it had any effect on being able to safely and securely mount within a PC. This is photographed in the timestamps.

    I never tried to push this card, or overclock any further than factory. It was used in my current PC for 8 months which I primarily use for photo and video editing.

    SOLD 1080ti, card has had one fan replaced besides that it works flawless. Have original box as well which I will ship it in.

I am willing to part this all out but my only concern is the shipping of the motherboard/cpu since I don't have the original clamshell or the block for the socket. I am open to offers.
