    Meta: why so many videos?

    Posted: 25 May 2020 06:53 PM PDT

This is so frustrating. Videos take a lot of time to watch compared to a quick skim of an article and can't be searched.

And while the link in https://www.gamersnexus.net/hwreviews/3587-intel-core-i9-10900k-cpu-review-benchmarks is immediately apparent, the reverse link is not at all.

Edit: to clarify, the question is why people link the video when an article is available.

The fastest PCIE NVME GEN4 SSD right now has a 5000mb/s read speed. How much faster can this go?

What do you guys think of quantum computation? I know all the semiconductor companies are heavily investing in quantum computing and hiring like crazy. What are the potential applications? I am particularly excited by the application of quantum computation to cryptography and financial modeling?

Particularly, I am working on the next generation of quantum cryptography: https://github.com/open-quantum-safe/liboqs

Would love to hear your opinion about this.

Difference between CPU cores workload being individual vs shared?

    Posted: 25 May 2020 10:38 PM PDT

    basically the title.

To explain what i mean: i remembered a guy showed me some years ago one app (forgot the name) that allows you to modify the workload on the cpu cores - one of the options was having all the workload be shared on all the cores (i.e on R7 2700X all 8 cores get loaded 20% (or any other number)) instead of having the workload as you usually see it (same CPU as earlier but you just see for example the 1st core be more used than the 2nd, 2nd more/less used than the 3rd and so on)

So now i'm thinking: what exactly are the pros and cons of this? I am asking from both a gaming point of view as well as a working one (as in: rendering videos, 3d scenes and so on)
