Best conditions for NAS HDD discussion Posted: 11 Feb 2020 07:25 PM PST This is not a Techsupport thing! Hi there, i got myself a NAS Harddrive and i wounder if anyone agree/disagree with the conditions its in to make its existence as non- harmfull as possible. As temperature i personally target 30-40°C its in a NAS housing. I usually let it plugged in 24/7 But i witnessed that the NAS turns the disk off when its not used. Do data centre the same ? Or is it always on ? Because its a IronWolf, those are supposed to be always on right ? Or is Rotation Off but standby as harmfull as spinning 24/7 ?! Thoughts? [link] [comments] |
