With Alienware UFO missing in action GPD Win 3, Aya Neo and One Xplayer handheld PCs have collected $8.5 million on Indiegogo this year

    Posted: 10 Jun 2021 04:56 AM PDT

Let's be honest, for companies like Dell $8.5 million and 9000 devices sold is probably pocket change, but one must also wonder how many would be sold if these were made by an established company that could offer better long term support. Crowdfunded devices made by Chinese startups probably made many people give up buying them.

With 3 companies now making these it will be interesting to see how they will compete in the future and if bigger companies like Dell or Valve will ever give it a try. It will also be interesting to see what future Intel and AMD chips they will manage to fit in these and how those two will compete in this form factor.
